Hi! I'm Meghan, but everyone calls me Bird! I sell air & talk on the radio by day and turn into Ranchin Rhonda at night. Just kidding, I have ranch duties at almost all hours of the day! I enjoy classic cars, cooking & making people laugh! You can follow me on Snapchat, Instagram & Twitter @MsBirdIsTheWord
This is Kevin, the husband and jack of ALL trades. He works in construction by day and works on building a house at night. He actually really enjoys working with his hands, spending time with all of our little critters and is obsessed with his 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser. He also loves teaching his son, Kael, how to farm, fish, fix things, and other manly man things.
We bought this little farm house in the summer of 2018 and began renovating right away. Since the house was originally built in 1938, it needed some TLC and we were just the people to do it. We've done nearly all of the construction by ourselves with the help of some family & friends. You can follow along with our journey and see how we take this old farmhouse into the modern day!
Eddie the alpaca was born on September 13, 2015. He is a Huacaya Alpaca that we purchased from a local Nebraska Alpaca farm in October of 2018. While alpacas are very docile creatures he will give you a kiss right on the lips for an animal cracker. He's also been rockin a very emo look these days.
Freddie the alpaca was born on September 27, 2016. He is also a Huacaya Alpaca that we purchased the same time we got Eddie. Alpacas are a pack animal so you must get more than one, kind of like potato chips, you can't have just one! Freddie is a scaredy-cat compared to his older brother, but once you get your arm around him, he gives in.

Francisco, that's fun to say... can anyone name that movie? Yep, he's named after that famous line in Elf. Francisco was our first auction purchase in October of 2019. We weren't planning on getting a donkey that day, just going to see what the process was like at an auction and welp, we fell in love with the guy and put him in the cab of our truck for the ride home. He did throw up lime green alfalfa pellets the whole way home, but that's a story you have to ask Kevin about. We think Frank is about 3 or 4, but he is the protector of the group & will stomp on any predators that may come our way living in the country.
Sierra, also affectionately known as Si-Si, is a mini fainting goat. Yes, she really faints. Her breed is actually born with a condition called Myotonia congenita, which causes their muscles to tense up when they are startled and usually fall over. While it doesn't hurt them, it does make you feel kinda bad, especially if she faints on the hill. She is a super sweet heart & has some big old horns on her head now!
Denali LuAnn gets 2 names because she's the trouble maker of the group. Denali is Nigerian Dwarf goat, which means she is very athletic, very chatty & does not grow horns. We acquired both goats from a local goat farmer in Nebraska when they were 8 weeks old. They grow up so fast!
Snoop Donk is the newest member of the squad and the most high maintenance at only 6 weeks old, this mini donkey is bottle-fed. Snoop Donk is super sweet & loves to take naps in your lap, here's to hoping that lasts forever.
Also known as Sasha Bear is our 14 year old Norwegian Elkhound. She LOVES getting pets from everyone, snacks & absolutely refuses to come inside if its snowing. You can usually find her passed out dreaming of chasing squirrels.
Beyoncé is our bossy little runt of the litter cat. She was born on the 4th of July and though she might be small, if you pet her one too many times, she will let you know. She is the ultimate keeper of the dinner schedule, I mean to the minute with this one.
